We have known Sam and Chris since high school. So when they reached out for us to shoot their wedding we were beyond excited. We have been together since high school as well – check out our about us page to know more – but we just loovveee long time love.
As their April wedding date approached with Covid – 19 looming Sam and Chris made the difficult decision to move their nuptials to September. Safety was of course their main priority so that part of their choice was not hard. BUT when you plan your wedding for so long and just want to be married to your best friend to begin the next chapter of your lives, changing your wedding date is a tough pill to swallow.
Over the next few months we kept in touch and began to hear more and more details of what was to come for their wedding day. From the color scheme, to the vendors to all of the little sentiments we were at the edge of our computer chair WAITING for this wedding. And let us tell you. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT Every moment of their day was well thought out. So much so that even with the on and off again rain, both Chris and Sam stayed cool and calm and all of the vendors went into “Plan B” with ease and not one guest noticed anything was not as originally planned. Sam’s father passed away when she was a little girl but she honored him throughout the day. Starting with a beautiful charm affixed to her bouquet so while her brother walked her down the aisle physically, so did her dad. While their first look outside was moved in because of the weather, Sam and Chris shared a beautiful and very intimate first look in their bridal suite and we were able to snag a couple of portraits of them before the ceremony. Jason’s creations absolutely killed the decor. All day! From the ceremony arch to the centerpieces and that STUNNING sweetheart table, all guests (and us) were in awe. DJ Eric kept the dance floor packed all night, and his up-lighting made the party feel like a literal night club! Nicole at the Fenway and Laura with serendipity Weddings made sure to communicate and coordinate the entire day flawlessly. From weather changes to keeping the timeline going, it was perfection.
Even though it was not the original date they had planned on I know they could not have imagined the absolute dream of a wedding they experienced. We are so happy we were able to be there and celebrate with them, along with capturing the day! We hope everyone enjoys these sneaks and the Highlight Film is at the bottom!!! Congratulations again to Sam and Chris!
